DESCRIPTION:To ensure there is enough food for Everyone and you would like to save time at check in please register HERE ( https://forms.gle/MLw1RyFzTDDezVid6 ) to attend FVMA’s 20th Annual AGM\nDate: March 15, 2025\nTime: 11 AM to 1:30 PM\nLocation: Mamele’awt Indigenous Education Centre (3277 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC ( https://g.co/kgs/6P8sJpX ))\nThe draft Agenda and meeting minutes are attached below.\nIn order to participate and vote in this event MNBC and FVMA Citizens are required to be in person and bring and present their Metis Nation BC (MNBC) and FVMA Citizenship cards at Registration upon arrival.\nDuring the AGM, we’ll be reviewing the past year’s activities, milestones and significant events and voting on new volunteer Directors who will play a critical role in guiding FVMA’s future.\nThis is an exciting time for FVMA, and we are calling upon dedicated individuals who feel inspired to contribute actively to our community’s growth and success. \nAs a Director, you will be part of a dynamic team that develops and maintains existing programs for our Métis community for many generations.\nVolunteer Director Requirements\n\n\nSecurity Cleared: Federal security clearance is a requirement.\n\n\nActive and Engaged: Our community thrives on the dedication of those who contribute, not just occupy a seat. We need Directors who bring energy, ideas, and a willingness to take action—those who are ready to give, not just take. Engagement and commitment are essential to building a strong, supportive community.\n\n\nDedicated to Growth: Directors will help carry forward FVMA’s current and robust programming (examples are: monthly community potlucks ( https://fvma.ca/events/fvma-community-potluck-gathering-feb-23-2025-5-to-8-pm-at-3277-gladwin-road/ ) and Indigenous Artisan Markets ( https://fvma.ca/events/fvmas-2025-first-nation-inuit-metis-artisan-markets-february-8-2025-between-1-5-pm-at-3277-gladwin-road-abbotsford/ ), weekly music sessions such as Fiddle Lessons ( https://fvma.ca/events/fvma-annual-metis-fiddle-lessons-program-2024-to-2025/ ) / D.R.U.M.C.
