FVMA Financial Review Update

Important Update Regarding Financial Review

Tansii FVMA Citizens,

We’re pleased to share an important update many in our community have been waiting for: the long-anticipated financial review has been completed by our Interim Treasurer, Jeff MacDonald.

This report responds to questions and concerns raised over the past year. We recognize that these concerns have caused tension, and we sincerely thank everyone for their patience as we worked towards greater clarity and transparency.

We also want to express our deep appreciation to Jeff. This was not an easy task, it required time, care and commitment, and we’re truly grateful for his hard work on behalf of our community.

Alongside this, we’re also sharing a report provided by MNBC, which includes additional information many of you have been asking about online. We hope that, together, these documents will help answer longstanding questions and support a clearer path forward.

We encourage all members to read through the materials carefully before the upcoming AGM. Please note that some of the concerns raised in the MNBC report are addressed in the FVMA report. Our hope is that by taking time to reflect in advance, we can come together in a spirit of respect, understanding, and thoughtful dialogue.

Thank you for your continued engagement and care for our Métis community.

With respect,

Fraser Valley Métis Association – Interim Board of Directors
