Potluck in Mission April 25

We’re excited to share that a long-awaited Métis community potluck is finally coming to Mission! For many of us, gatherings like these haven’t happened here as often as we’d like, so this is a special opportunity to reconnect, share stories, and celebrate our vibrant culture together.

Bring a favorite dish if you can, but most importantly, bring yourself, your family, and your spirit of community. Whether you’re reconnecting with old friends or meeting new ones, this will be a welcoming space for all.

We’re also thrilled to welcome a special musical guest to help bring extra joy and celebration to the gathering, and we’ll have even more planters to give away to community members.

Spouses, family members and others who are not Métis but have a connection to FVMA and respect for Métis culture are welcome to attend as guests.

It is generally expected to contribute in some way, whether that is food, a helping hand, or simply good words if this is all you can reasonably provide.

Those who choose not to attend dinner are also welcome to come just for entertainment afterwards. 

The gathering will be held at the Copper Hall in Mission, BC—located within the community area and easy to access. There is street parking nearby if needed. We will reserve one spot close to the door for gardening activity. When you arrive, follow the main entrance signs and look for our Métis gathering space—there will be signs to help guide you in.
